Types of fares
Adult: age 19-64
Youth: age 6-18
Children: age 0-5 (ride free with paying passenger)
Senior or Disabled: age 65+ or qualifying disability
How to pay
Pay for your ride on Sound Transit service using cash or an ORCA card. When riding the train, use cash to purchase a ticket from the vending machine, or tap your ORCA card before you board. When riding the bus, you can use cash or tap ORCA. King County Metro bus tickets are valid only on bus routes operated by Metro.
ST Express bus
ST Express bus fares are based on zones. Adult fares range from $2.50 to $3.50 depending on your trip.
Central Link light rail
Central Link light rail fares are based on distance traveled. Adult fares range from $2 to $2.75 depending on how far you travel.

Sounder train
Sounder train fares are based on distance traveled. Fares range from $1.50 to $5.25 depending on how far you travel.
ORCA cards & passes
Use the ORCA card to pay all your Sound Transit fares. Purchase an ORCA card from a ticket vending machine, online, by mail, or at a customer service office.
