Downtown Seattle light rail service restored

July 23 , 2009

Staff will continue to closely monitor signal system

Light rail trains are again carrying passengers inside the Downtown Seattle Transit Tunnel following steps to address signal system problems that limited tunnel operations to buses for most of the day.

We will issue updates on any changes in the status of tunnel operations. Sound Transit thanks the public for its patience.

Riders can sign up to receive automatic e-mail service alerts for Central Link light rail and other Sound Transit services. Alerts are a good way for riders to get the latest on service interruptions, construction issues, service for special events, and holiday schedules. Visit www.soundtransit.org/subscribe to learn more and sign-up.
