City of Bellevue cost savings process: 2012-2013

In November 2011, the Sound Transit Board and the Bellevue City Council established a framework to develop East Link and to share the additional cost of a downtown tunnel. Since then, Sound Transit and the City have worked together in a collaborative design process that includes the study of potential cost savings ideas while still delivering a high quality project. The decision to incorporate any one or more of these cost savings ideas into East Link Extension will not occur until approximately the spring of 2013, when additional review is complete.
