Bellevue Rider Services BuildingDescriptionThe Bellevue Rider Services Building will be adjacent to the Bellevue Transit Center in downtown Bellevue. Several rider amenities will be available including rider information and transit schedules, public phones, community information, bike racks and public restrooms. Sidewalk improvements adjacent to the Bellevue Transit Center were completed in 2002 as part of the Bellevue Rider Services Building project. Additional amenities of the transit center include a City of Bellevue Police Station located in the Rider Services Building, and public art. "The High Road" by artist team Stuart Keeler and Michael Macnic features three bronze eggs balanced atop stilts that speak to the cycles of commuting and mass transit's respect of nature. On the northeast corner of the transit center, an internally lit sculptured by Barbara Grygutis titled "Windswept," evokes an ancient tree that has been weathered by years of wind and weathering.
