Eastgate Freeway StationDescription
The Eastgate Access ramps connect the existing 142nd Place S.E. bridge to the I-90 HOV (High Occupancy Vehicle) lanes. The new ramps provide a more direct connection to the Eastgate Park-and-Ride for buses, carpools and vanpools traveling the I-90 corridor. Transit and HOVs save travel time by avoiding congested intersections and crossing three lanes of traffic to exit I-90 from the HOV lanes to acess the park-and-ride.
New bus flyer stops/freeway stations located on the ramps result in addtional travel time savings for selected routes using the new ramps and also provide transit routing options for other ST Express and King County Metro routes.
