Mukilteo Station Phase II

Description

Sounder commuter rail service started at Mukilteo Station in June 2008, operating from a single platform on the north side of the tracks with interim parking and shelters for commuters. The second phase of the project includes a second platform on the south side of the tracks, a pedestrian bridge over the tracks connecting the two platforms, permanent passenger shelters and public art.

Location:		Adjacent to First Street and east of SR 525/Mukilteo Speedway, along the existing rail tracks.

Sound Transit Budget:		$11.1 million

Funding Partners:		Sound Transit Federal Transit Administration

Planning Partners:		Sound Transit City of Mukilteo BNSF Port of Everett Washington State Ferries

Consultants and Contractors:		Preliminary Engineering & Final Design: DMJM Harris/HNTB Public Art: Linda Beaumont

Project Timeline:		Final design was completed September 2008 Construction schedule TBD
