Project updates: Puyallup station improvements

Thank you for your participation and feedback throughout the environmental phase! Almost 70 people attended the open house on Tuesday, February 23 and over 670 people visited the online open house. Your input helped the Sound Transit Board of Directors select station access improvements for the Puyallup Sounder station.

On Thursday, April 28, the Sound Transit Board of Directors approved a new parking garage, more surface parking, a pedestrian bridge, sidewalk and pedestrian lighting, and improved pedestrian and bicycle connections to improve transit rider access to the station.

Now that the package of improvements is finalized, what’s next?

Next steps for the project includes the Board considering actions to authorize property purchase and the start of final design. Stay tuned for future opportunities to provide design input.

Thank you for attending the recent open house

Puyallup Station open house

On Tuesday, Feb. 23, Sound Transit hosted an open house at Puyallup City Hall for the Puyallup Station Access Improvements Project. Almost 70 people attended the meeting to learn more about the project. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend.

We want to hear from you

If you couldn't make the meeting, you can visit our online open house to learn about the project's purpose and schedule, view conceptual designs of the proposed new garage and learn about the results of the environmental analysis. After reviewing the materials, fill out a short survey and share which of the proposed improvements are most important to you. The online open house and survey will be live through Wednesday, March 2.

Additional parking, pedestrian and bike options chosen as preferred alternatives for improving rider access to Sounder stations in Puyallup and Sumner
