Stay Safe & Sound around Link light rail (Link Light Rail Project) 11/10/08

Link light rail safety - Stay off the Tracks

Light Rail trains are now testing in the Rainier Valley, so it's very important to stay alert and to always expect a train at any time, from either direction. Each light rail vehicle is 95 feet long and weighs approximately 101,000 lbs. Light rail trains do not have steering wheels and they can't stop quickly. Beginning July 2009, light rail trains will offer two-way rapid, reliable commuting options 20 hours each day.  Now is a perfect time to practice and develop good safety habits. Download our safety brochure and visit our driver's guide for more information on how to Stay Safe & Sound around Link light rail.
