Sounder Commuter Rail Schedules

Sound Transit's commuter rail operates Monday through Friday. There are five morning trips leaving Tacoma traveling northbound to Seattle and three morning trips leaving Everett traveling southbound to Seattle.  In the afternoon, there are five trips departing Seattle heading to Tacoma and three trips departing Seattle heading to Everett.

There is one "reverse commute" trip on the Sounder south line, departing Seattle for Tacoma at 6:10 a.m. and departing Tacoma (for Seattle) at 4:45 p.m. Train riders traveling between Everett and Seattle can also take advantage of the RailPlus Program by using their monthly pass on select Amtrak trips (see schedule below).

*Amtrak Trains 510, 513, 516 and 517 are operated by Amtrak and are part of the Rail Plus Program serving Seattle, Edmonds and Everett stations, but only accept monthly passes valid on Sound Transit services. Pass upgrades, Day Passes and Single-Trip tickets are not accepted by Amtrak. Amtrak trains board on the west side of the Weller Bridge.

PLEASE NOTE:  Although Sounder trains may arrive a few minutes past their scheduled time, according to Commuter Railroad Standards for systems under construction, on-time performance is any arrival at the end station under 8 minutes of the published time.
