Working on Your Business, Together.

Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce and Sound Transit have teamed up to offer a rare opportunity to address the needs of retail businesses and restaurants during the construction of the Capitol Hill light rail station. A series of retailing, restaurant and human resource seminars, have been scheduled for the Capitol Hill business community. Come learn proven techniques to increase sales and profits from experienced experts!

Please join us for a Kick-Off Event and Meet-The-Seminar Instructors:

We have recruited four local and seasoned food-service, retailing, and human resource professionals that have designed a series of exciting and energetic seminars:

  • Dorothy Frisch – 17-year co-owner of Saleh al Lago, in the U-District and a member of the American Society of Training and Development, and Food Service Consultants Society International
  • Karen Malody – international restaurant consultant, owner of her own cooking school and catering service and columnist for The Seattle Times
  • Lisa Hudson  - held retailing positions at Ralph Lauren, Barneys New Your and Esprit and executive positions for the NBBJ Retail Concepts Group

You will hear how to:

  • Define and promote your concept  and brand to both customers and employees
  • Calculate your true operating costs and eliminate opportunities for employee theft
  • Provide the customer experience that creates loyalty and increases profits
  • Manage employees for a streamlined, customer centered, business, and lower employee turnover costs and retain your best players
