Mercer Island Park-and-Ride - Public Art

Migration - Julie Berger (2008)

Two internally-lit metal sculptures by Julie Berger create a gateway to the Mercer Island Park & Ride.  The concept behind the artwork is migration, with the two gateway pieces symbolic of the ships that once were the only way to access the island.  The migration theme is also integrated into the railing on the south façade of the garage with fin/wing-like metal pieces that abstractly mimic the patterns of migration.
