Newcastle Transit CenterDescriptionSound Transit has reached agreement with the City of Newcastle to change the scope of the project from a four-bay transit center to providing funding for city-led projects enhancing the speed and reliability of existing King County Metro Transit bus routes operating in/through Newcastle. The revised project scope provides funding for improvements along Newcastle Way between 129th Avenue S.E. and 132nd Avenue S.E. and the intersection of Coal Creek Parkway and Newcastle Way. The project improvements to be considered are construction of intersection improvements, bus shelters, sidewalks, bike lanes and signal modification to improve speed and reliability and customer access to King County Metro transit services.
