The Seattle/North King County Subarea stretches from the Snohomish County line to the Seattle/Tukwila border. The Seattle/North King County Subarea is 165 square miles, with a population of about 780,000 and includes three cities: Seattle, Lake Forest Park and Shoreline.

The capital and operations/maintenance budget for the Seattle/North King County Subarea is $1.771 billion in year of expenditure dollars from 1997-2009.
