Sounder Commuter Rail Tukwila StationDescription
Sound Transit currently provides Sounder commuter rail service in Tukwila at a temporary station and has been working with the cities of Tukwila and Renton on plans for a permanent station. The future station will be designed in partnership with both cities and their long range plans for redevelopment, transportation and traffic planning in the area.
While it is early in the planning process and no decisions have been finalized, the permanent Tukwila Station is likely to include two accessible platforms with canopies, a surface parking lot, a bus transfer facility, ticket vending machines and bicycle storage.
