PugetPass
If you ride infrequently, paying cash or using a ticket or transfer may be all you need. If you make a roundtrip each weekday or ride several times a month, you should consider the convenience and money-savings of a PugetPass. PugetPass is accepted on Sounder commuter trains, Community Transit, Everett Transit, King County Metro Tranist (Metro), Pierce Transit and ST Express buses. PugetPass can be purchased for an amount that represents the typical price of the trip you are likely to take. It is available as a monthly pass in all denominations. Some trip values are available in a three-month or 12-month pass.

How to use PugetPass
On Sounder Commuter Rail
Please refer to the Sounder fares page to determine which denomination PugetPass you should purchase for travel on commuter rail. If the value of the pass is less than the cost of the one-way fare, you must purchase a pass upgrade at the ticket vending machine (TVM) located on the station platform. If you pay a reduced fare you must show the conductor a valid Regional Reduced Fare Permit.
On ST Express Bus
Swipe your PugetPass through the farebox or show your PugetPass to the driver as you board. Follow the driver's direction to pay when you enter or leave the bus. If the bus fare is higher than the dollar amount shown on your PugetPass, place the additional cash in the farebox. You may also combine more than one valid pass to pay a higher fare. You may not use a transfer in combination with a pass. If you pay a reduced fare you must show a valid Regional Reduced Fare Permit. Additional information about ST Express zone-based fares >>>
