With the initial pieces of a regional transit system now moving more than 35,000 people a day, Sound Transit is evaluating ways to meet our region's future growth and transportation demands. We are updating our environmental and transportation planning work from the ‘90's to see how regional mass transit improvements can help keep us moving and manage future growth.
A draft supplemental Environmental Impact Statement was released in December 2004, and public comments and suggestions were accepted through January 2005. The Final Regional Transit Long-Range Plan Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) was issued on June 1, 2005. This Final SEIS supplements and builds on the 1993 Regional Transit System Plan Final EIS, which Sound Transit used when adopting the 1996 Long-Range Plan for transit investments, along with Sound Move, the first set of projects implementing the Long-Range Plan.
You may download Volume 1 and the Appendices of the final supplemental EIS below. These documents require the free Adobe Reader to view. Volume 2 (Comments & Responses) is available here>>
To request a free copy of the complete final supplemental EIS on CD-ROM, or a hard copy of the final supplemental EIS at a printing cost of $10.00, please contact Sound Transit at (206) 398-5000, (888) 713-6030 TTY, send an e-mail to main@soundtransit.org, or write to Sound Transit, 401 S.
