Run to the Races, Sound Transit Service to Emerald Downs 2008

Sound Transit and Emerald Downs are teaming up to take you to the races onboard Sounder, ST Express and Emerald Downs' Pony Express Shuttle.

On weekdays, ride ST Express bus routes 564 and 565 to Auburn Station, and call the free shuttle for service to the race track. On select weekends, Sounder Commuter Rail will also run to the races.

Inbound Train: Departs Tacoma Puyallup Sumner Auburn 11 a.m. 11:12 a.m.   11:17 a.m.   11:25 a.m.  Sounder trains travel northbound to the Auburn station from Tacoma, Puyallup and Sumner and serve Emerald Downs special events on May 11, July 20 and Sept. 28 (and other weekend trains to the races are available as part of Sounder's Home Run Service).  Riders then take the free shuttle to the race track. Sounder Run to the Races tickets Tickets can be purchased on the day of travel or in advance at any Sounder station TVM. Select the "Event Ticket" short-cut button to purchase a train ticket for the next event. To buy train tickets for a future event select "Fare for Different Date or Origin." Follow the prompts and select "Event ticket" as the ticket type, then select the event date. TVMs issue any type of ticket, pass or upgrade ticket for Sounder. TVMs accept cash, Visa, Mastercard or debit cards. PugetPass, FlexPass and UPass are valid on Sounder Home Run Service. If the pass value is less than your trip cost, you must buy an upgrade ticket from the TVM. There are no refunds or replacements for lost or unused tickets.
