Fly ST Express to Sea-Tac Airport

Ever thought of taking a bus from Seattle to Sweden? Or how about from Bellevue to Bermuda? Whether you're off to a tropical destination or flying in to visit the Puget Sound region, travel is easy with Sound Transit and King County Metro Transit. Together we offer five bus routes that serve the airport with frequent trips seven days a week. Whether you are a longtime resident or a visitor to the Puget Sound area, we offer an inexpensive and reliable way to get to and from the airport.

Bus Routes

ST Express Route 560

Daily airport service to and from downtown Bellevue, Renton, West Seattle, the Fauntleroy Ferry Terminal and Burien.

Departure Times

Buses to the airport begin leaving downtown Bellevue at 4:53 a.m. and West Seattle at 4:18 a.m. Buses from Sea-Tac Airport to Bellevue begin leaving at 4:56 a.m. Buses to West Seattle begin leaving at 5:39 a.m. Weekend start times are slightly later. Buses run every 30 minutes on weekdays and every 60 minutes on weekends and evenings.

Travel times

Bellevue, 40 minutes;
Renton, 15 minutes;
West Seattle, 40 minutes;
Fauntleroy Ferry Terminal, 30 minutes;
Burien Transit Center, 10 minutes.

ST Express Route 574

Daily airport service to and from Lakewood, Tacoma and Federal Way.

Departure times

Buses begin leaving Lakewood Mall Transit Center at 2:47 a.m., the Tacoma Dome Station at 3:07 a.m., Federal Way at 3:22 a.m. and Sea-Tac at 4:35 a.m. Buses run (at least) every 30 minutes during weekdays  (and most of the weekend) and every 60 minutes during weekday mornings, evenings and at night.

Lakewood, 60 minutes;
Tacoma, 40 minutes;
Federal Way, 25 minutes

Metro Route 140 (External link)

Daily airport service to and from Southcenter, Renton and Burien.

Departure times

Every 20-30 minutes weekdays, every 60 minutes weekends.

Travel times

Burien Transit Center, 10 minutes;
Southcenter, 15 minutes;
Renton, 30 minutes.

Metro Route 174 (External link)

Daily airport service to and from Downtown Seattle and to and from Federal Way.

Departure Times

Every 30 minutes (Route 174 also offers daily early morning service from Downtown Seattle departing Union Street and Fourth Avenue: 2:15 a.m. and 3:30 a.m., departing from the airport: 1:28 a.m. and 2:43 a.m.).

Travel Times

Downtown Seattle, 45 minutes;
Federal Way Transit Center, 30 minutes.

Metro Route 194 (External link)

Daily airport service to and from Downtown Seattle and to and from Federal Way.

Departure times

Every 15-30 minutes.

Here's an easy way to avoid airport traffic and parking hassles: arrange to be dropped off or picked up at a park-and-ride lot or transit center. Sound Transit and King County Metro Transit routes serve the airport from the following transit facilities:

South King County

Burien Transit Center: Metro 140, ST 560
Federal Way Transit Center: Metro 174, 194, ST 574
Kent/Des Moines Freeway Station: Metro 194, ST 574
Southcenter Mall: Metro 140
Star Lake Freeway Station: Metro 194, ST 574
Sounder Tukwila Station: Metro 140
White Center Transit Center: ST 560

North King County (Seattle)

Downtown Seattle Transit Tunnel: Metro 194
(Route uses Third Avenue when the tunnel is closed)

Fauntleroy Ferry Terminal: ST 560
West Seattle Junction: ST 560

East King County (Eastside)

Bellevue Transit Center: ST 560
Newport Hills Park-and-Ride lot: ST 560
Renton Transit Center: Metro 140, ST 560
South Renton Park-and-Ride lot: Metro 140
South Bellevue Park-and-Ride lot: ST 560

Pierce County

Lakewood Transit Center: ST 574
I-5/ 512 Park-and-Ride lot: ST 574
Tacoma Dome Station: ST 574

Keep in mind that there is a 72 hour time limit for parking at King County transit facilities and a 24 hour limit for Tacoma and Lakewood facilities.
