Previous public feedback

From  July-October 2006 thousands of  people from throughout the region took the time to comment on options for the agency to expand its system of regional buses, commuter trains and light rail. Over 5000 comments came in the form of email, written comments submitted at public meetings and via an online questionnaire.

In general, the comments reflected a growing want for more ways to get around the region as a way to preserve our quality of life and maintain a competitive edge with other Northwest cities like Portland and Vancouver, BC.

For more details on the public feedback, Sound Transit has provided a summary of written commentsa summary of feedback from the web questionnaire and an overview of all comments received.

Sound Transit also reported the results of a recent scientific survey of 800 registered voters within the Sound Transit district. The survey, conducted by the Evans/McDonough Company, showed the agency has a 65% favorable rating and reflected very strong support for the regional Roads and Transit packages to expand mass transit and roads in November, 2007.
