Effective Saturday, July 4 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., ST Express Route 522 will be on reroute due to the Bothell 4th of July Parade.

The following northbound Route 522 stop will be missed:

• Main St. at 103rd Ave. NE 

During the reroute, please board northbound Route 522 at the following stops:

• Bothell Way NE at NE 180th St.
• Woodinville Dr. at Kaysner Way (temporary)
• UW-Bothell/CCC Campus

Express - Routes 590, 592, 593, 594 and 595 Construction on Spokane St

Effective Wednesday, July 2 until further notice, ST Express Bus routes 590, 592, 593, 594, and 595 will be on reroute due to construction on South Spokane Street between 4th Avenue South and 6th Avenue South. 

The following southbound stops will be missed:

• Busway & Lander
• Busway & Spokane

During the reroute, please board southbound 590 series routes at the following stops:

• Busway & Holgate
• 6th Ave S & S Lander St (temporary)
• 6th Ave S & S Spokane St (temporary)

Northbound routes 590, 592, 593, 594, and 595 are not affected and will operate their usual stops.

ST Express Bus - ST Express Route 554 Reroute -- Eastgate Direct Access

Effective with the start of service on Monday July 6 and lasting until Monday, July 20, ST Express Route 554 will be on reroute due to the westbound I-90 lane closures.

During the reroute, the following westbound Route 554 stop will not be served:

• Eastgate Freeway Station

Please board westbound Route 554 at the following stop instead:

• 142nd Pl SE and SE 32nd St

Eastbound Route 554 is unaffected and will operate as scheduled.

Construction - I-90 Westbound Lane Closure -- July 5 - July 20

Starting on Sunday, July 5 and lasting until Monday, July 20, the westbound lanes of I-90 will be closed to repair expansion joints and all westbound I-90 traffic will be diverted to the Express Lanes. The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is warning all motorists that the traffic delays could last an hour or more and stretch from Issaquah to Seattle.

Delays - Bus travel times are expected to be delayed because all vehicles will be using the HOV express lanes across the lake into Seattle. This restriction does not end until you reach the west side of the Mount Baker Tunnel.

WSDOT anticipates delays will be most disruptive westbound from 6-11 a.m. and 3-7 p.m., and when there are major events in Seattle. Also, eastbound traffic in the afternoon is expected to be slower than normal, because there will be no HOV lanes in that direction across the lake until the project is completed. There could be related slowdowns on SR-520, I-405 and I-5.

Sound Transit will make every effort to maintain departure schedules on east-west routes across I-90; however, bus travel times are expected to take longer than normal due to anticipated traffic delays. Most buses serving the Eastside make multiple trips across the lake in a single day, and congestion on one leg of the trip will create ongoing delays for individual buses.

Bus riders are encouraged to travel early in the commute if possible. Use existing schedules to plan your trip and give yourself plenty of time to reach your destination.

ST Express Bus - Park-and-Rides during the I-90 Express Lane Closure

On Sunday, July 5 the westbound lanes on I-90 will close due to construction. Beat traffic during WSDOT's closure. Additional parking capacity and express bus service is available at the following facilities:

• Eastgate Park-and-Ride
• Issaquah Transit Center
• Issaquah Highlands Park-and-Ride
• South Sammamish Park-and-Ride

Starting with the beginning of service on Thursday, June 26 and lasting until the end of service on Friday, July 10, ST Express Route 522 will be on reroute in downtown Seattle due to construction.

The following southbound Route 522 stops will be missed:

• Union St at 4th Ave
• 2nd Ave at Seneca St, Marion St and James St
• 2nd Ave S at S Jackson St

During the reroute, please board southbound Route 522 at the following stops instead:

• Union St at 6th Ave
• 5th Ave at Seneca St, Marion St and Jefferson St
• 5th Ave S at S Jackson St

Northbound Route 522 is unaffected and will operate as scheduled.

ST Express Bus - 2nd Ave Construction Reroute -- ST Express Routes 522, 554, 577, 578 & 590 series

Beginning June 24, 2009 and lasting until July 10, 2009 ST Express routes 522, 554, 577, 578 and the 590 series will be on reroute due to construction on 2nd Ave in downtown Seattle

The following southbound and easbound stops will be missed:

• 2nd Ave and Pike (ST Express 577 & 578)
• 2nd Ave and Spring (ST Express 554, 590, 592, 593, 594 & 595)
• 2nd Ave and Marion (ST Express 522 & 577)

Please use the following southbound and eastbound stops instead:

Sounder Commuter Rail - Ride the Wave Correction -- Page 33

CORRECTION:

Page 33 of the June - September 2009 Ride the Wave transit guide incorrectly lists the Old Cannery Warehouse (16608 Valley Ave E) as overflow parking for the Sumner Sounder Station.  This property is not available for commuter use. 

Please only use the main Sumner lot and the overflow parking lot located between State Street and Hunt Avenue. 

ST Express Bus - ST Express Routes 510, 511, 513, 545, 590, 592, 593, 594, 595 reroute -- 9th and Stewart St

ST Express Bus - Seattle Mariners baseball reroutes -- 510, 511, 513, 522, 545, 590 series

For the 2009 Mariners season:

Following weekday Mariners games that start after 7:00 p.m. only, and on all weekend and holiday games, northbound ST Express routes 510, 511, 513, 522, 590, 592, 593 and 594 and eastbound route 545 will be on reroute approximately 90 minutes after the first pitch until about 30-40 minutes after the last out, due to congestion around Safeco Field.  Riders should expect significant delays.

• During the reroute, the stop at 4th and Royal Brougham Way will not be served.  Board these routes in the Busway (one block east of 4th Ave) at Royal Brougham instead. 

• This reroute will not be in effect for weekday games that start before 5:00 p.m.  Riders should board ST Express service as normally scheduled.

ST Express Bus - ST Express Route 560 Reroute

Effective Wednesday April 1, and until further notice, eastbound and westbound ST Express Route 560 will be on reroute due to two ramp closures in Bellevue.

The following eastbound Route 560 stop will be missed:

• I-405 on ramp at SE 8th
