Report and Systems Developer

Finance & IT - Close Date: Open Until Filled


Scope of Position

Responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining Agency reports including database development, data analysis, and reporting portal administration. 

Essential Functions and Job Duties:

This position description reflects a representation of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.

  • Crystal Reports development in Crystal XI, hosted on Business Objects Enterprise XI R2
  • MS SQL 2005 development including stored procedures, views, functions and tables
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues 
  • Tune and optimize performance
  • Coordinate testing and validation with business users
  • Communicate report development progress with business users

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong report development experience with Business Objects Enterprise XI, Crystal Reports XI, and MS-SQL required
  • Strong experience developing MS-SQL stored procedures and views required
  • Familiarity with reporting from enterprise-wide ERP systems highly desired
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Business View Manager experience within Business Objects Enterprise
  • Experience reporting from SSAS cubes highly desired
  • Experience designing and developing SSAS cubes highly desired
  • Experience developing and utilizing web services as a data source for reporting a plus
  • Highly motivated; demonstrated initiative and responsibility.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills required.  
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment with multiple competing tasks 
  • A Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a closely related discipline
