Civil Engineer Right of WayLink Light Rail- Close Date: Open Until Filled, reviewed every 2 weeks
Scope of Position
The Civil Engineer, assist in Link's Engineering program; work may include perform preliminary property impact analysis, manage the preparation of right-of-way instrument for property acquisition; coordinate between Sound Transit Real Estate Office and the final design consultants through the property acquisition process; provide utility engineering assistance,: support the Link Light Rail Contract segments managers with civil design and civil review of designs; and work with Link’s Civil Engineering Division to develop and apply methods monitoring and tracking engineering efforts and agency coordination.
Qualifications
The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

Must have knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices, land use codes and regulations, read and interpret assessor office maps and contract documents.

The ability to manage work assigned is required.

Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

5+ years related experience.

Public speaking and/or information gathering at evening and weekend meetings of public, community and/or governmental agencies may be required on an occasional basis.
License or Certificate
A license in Civil Engineering is preferred.
