Senior Business Systems Analyst Finance & Information Technology - Close Date: Open Until Filled
Scope of Position
Senior level IT applications position, responsible for testing, configuring, specifying enhancements, maintaining, administering, and supporting Sound Transit revenue systems. This includes Smart Card and Ticket Vending Machine (TVM) systems.
Essential Functions and Job Duties

Support the regional Smart Card implementation and rollout for Sound Transit, as well as other revenue systems application requirements

Lead the validation testing effort at Sound Transit for the Smart Card implementation; includes significant coordination with Sound Transit subject matter experts and management as well as partner transit agency test representatives

Technical liaison between business customers, technology professionals and vendors

Develop and maintain comprehensive, documented test plans including test scripts

Ensure effective test execution, issue tracking, and issue resolution

Provided functional applications analysis and leadership for IT revenue systems team

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in test and production

Work closely with business users to develop optimum software configurations and business processes

Research, identify, specify, and implement new/enhanced application functionality

Develop and provide training for supported systems
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
-
5+ years experience implementing, testing, configuring, supporting, and enhancing enterprise level business applications required

Significant experience managing end-user testing for enterprise level software implementations required

Significant experience working with functional users, including interviewing & coordinating subject matter experts, end users, and technical staff

Experience leading requirements gathering and process definition for large, cross sectional software implementation teams, including significant coordination roles

Experience troubleshooting production business systems

Specific transit revenue collection systems experience highly desirable

Has been an integral part of several major application implementation projects

Demonstrated initiative, responsibility, and team leadership

Excellent communication, coordination and documentation skills required.

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple competing tasks in a high performance, fast paced environment
