We hope you'll join us as we dedicate the Eastside's newest transit center, which connects Evergreen Healthcare and Totem Lake businesses with local and regional transit options. The transit center opens on Saturday Oct. 25, with service from five King County Metro routes.

Come to our open house on Wednesday, Oct. 29 to:

  • Tour the new bus bays and learn about local and regional transit service in the Totem Lake neighborhood
  • Enjoy complimentary food and beverages as well as music by the Kamiakin Junior High School jazz ensemble
  • Visit booths hosted by the City of Kirkland, Evergreen Healthcare, Sound Transit and King County Metro Transit
  • Meet Zap Gridlock -- Sound Transit's congestion-fighting super hero -- and win prizes!
  • Plan your local bus trips, learn how to access regional transit options at the nearby Freeway Station, and pick up the latest bus schedules
  • Talk with project leads about the new transit center and what it means for Evergreen employees and the community
  • Learn about how the partnership between Sound Transit and the hospital is saving taxpayers money

About the Totem Lake Transit Center/Evergreen Medical Center Project

The project was built through a unique partnership between Sound Transit and Evergreen Healthcare. The six-bay transit center includes sheltered passenger waiting areas, rider amenities and bus layover space.  As part of the project, improvements were made to the intersection of 120th Ave. N.E. and N.E. 128th St. The new transit center is close to Evergreen Healthcare, the Totem Lake Mall and other major employers and will improve commuter access to transit service.
