Special Sounder, Tacoma Link service for AC/DC concert

AC/DC fans can avoid the traffic blues and take transit to the Aug. 31 show at the Tacoma Dome. Tacoma Link trains will have special late night hours, and Sounder commuter rail will offer a special northbound train after the concert.

Concert-goers can hop aboard any regularly scheduled afternoon southbound Sounder train between Seattle and Puyallup and ride to Freighthouse Square in Tacoma, just a short walk from the Tacoma Dome. A special Sounder train will depart Tacoma Dome Station 30 minutes after the house lights go up at the end of the concert, stopping in Puyallup, Sumner, Auburn, Kent, Tukwila and Seattle. Normal Sounder fares apply. More information about this special event Sounder service is available at www.soundtransit.org/ConcertTrain.

Tacoma Link light rail is also offering special service for rock n’ roll fans. Train service will be extended two hours until midnight, giving riders an opportunity to enjoy downtown Tacoma after the show. Tacoma Link is always free.

Regularly scheduled ST Express buses also serve the Tacoma Dome Station. Go to www.soundtransit.org for more about regularly scheduled Sound Transit services and fares and for help planning your transit trip.
