Choosing final route for Central Link light rail to be discussed at six upcoming community forums

Body

Next month Sound Transit's Central Link light rail becomes one step closer to reality with the release of the draft environmental impact statement (EIS). The draft EIS evaluates the benefits, impacts and costs of the 24-mile Link light rail system, and it begins the public decision-making process that will eventually select the final route that will connect the cities of SeaTac, Tukwila and Seattle.

To help people learn more about the draft EIS process and the entire Link light rail system, Sound Transit - the Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority - is hosting a series of community forums to share the latest information on projected ridership, costs and environmental issues and to describe how you can participate and help make decisions on routes, stations and other key issues.
