Completing the Link; The Final Weld on Tacoma Link Light Rail

It was exactly 479 days ago today that Sound Transit celebrated the laying of the first piece of rail for Tacoma Link, the first new light rail line in western Washington in more than 60 years. The days of driving a final "golden spike" are history but on Monday April 7 (at 11 A.M.) the final weld will be made on the last piece of rail for Tacoma Link. Reporters, photographers and videographers are invited to view and shoot pictures of this historic event.

Several Sound Transit Boardmembers will be available for comment.
