ORCA To-Go brings easy transit pass purchases to Seattle’s International District

New program for mobile sales of regional transit passes is particularly targeted to seniors, kids and people with disabilities

Sound Transit will make transit passes and information more accessible to seniors, disabled people, kids and everyone else by offering a new monthly ORCA To-Go booth in Seattle's International District. Starting March 26, the booth will operate from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. the last Wednesday of each month in Union Station's Great Hall, 401 S. Jackson St.

While ORCA is available 24-7 online and there are many retail locations throughout the region, a one-time visit with a customer service representative is required for seniors, people with disabilities and kids to get a reduced fare pass. ORCA To-Go booths will provide opportunities close to riders' homes and work.     

ORCA To-Go agents can take care of ORCA card transactions including adding E-purse value to new and existing passes. VISA, MasterCard and cash are accepted. Agents will take photos as part of applying for Regional Reduced ORCA card for people with disabilities and Medicare cardholders. People over age 65 can receive senior Regional Reduced ORCA cards, and youths between the ages of 6 and 18 can get youth ORCA cards.
