ST Express bus service from Lynnwood can become even more swift and reliable by bypassing the congestion of general traffic lanes with a proposed direct access connection between the Ash Way Park-and-Ride lot and the I-5 high-occupancy vehicle lanes (HOV). People are welcome and encouraged to learn about the proposed project at an open house hosted by Sound Transit and the Washington state Department of Transportation (WSDOT).

Wednesday, June 21

4 - 7 p.m.

Martha Lake Covenant Church

2721 164th Street SW, Lynnwood

The open house will feature a close-up look at alternative designs for the project and people will be able to talk directly with staff from Sound Transit and WSDOT. Written comments are also welcome. The environmental analysis of the project will be done by WSDOT. The project design is scheduled for completion by April 2002, with construction planned from June 2002 to December 2003.

For more information on the project or to submit comments, please contact WSDOT project engineer Anita Peters, P.E., P.O. Box 330310, MS NB82-75, Seattle WA 98133, or call 206-440-4582.

ST Express and the Ash Way Park-and-Ride lot direct access ramp project are part of Regional Express division of Sound Transit, which includes 18 new limited-stop regional ST Express bus routes and numerous capital projects such as improvements to transit centers, park-and-ride lots and HOV lanes.
