Public Invited to Tacoma Link Open House and the Official Rollout of Sound Transit's First Light Rail Trains

The public is invited to help celebrate on Monday, November 4 when Sound Transit will officially roll out the agency's first light rail trains at the Tacoma Link Operations & Maintenance Base near Freighthouse Square.

The festivities will get underway at 11:00 a.m. with the ceremonial introduction of the first train decked out with the Sound Transit logo and colors. Following the ceremonies the Tacoma All-City High School Jazz Band will perform and the general public will be invited to tour the Operations & Maintenance base until 1:00 p.m. This is when the citizens of Tacoma will be able to get their first look and feel of Tacoma Link as they walk through the new trains.
