Sound Transit to hold public hearing on proposal to sell surplus properties in Tacoma

Sound Transit will conduct a public hearing to seek comment on a proposal to sell four parcels totaling approximately 35,000 square feet of surplus land from the D to M Streets Sounder track and signal project to the City of Tacoma.

The parcels are located on the northwest corner of South Tacoma Way and Pacific Avenue, and on the northeast corner of South 26th Street and Pacific Avenue. The proposed use of the land is for utilities and landscaping adjacent to the Sounder Commuter Rail Line. Transactions are contingent on ongoing discussions and future approvals by the Sound Transit Board and the City of Tacoma.
