Sound Transit Board leadership to announce this morning the schedule and review process for Link light rail tunnel proposals, costs and related documents

The leadership of the Sound Transit Board of Directors will hold a news conference this morning to discuss a schedule and process for reviewing information on four critical issues related to the pending construction of the central Link light rail project. Specifically, they will discuss a process for reviewing the design-and-build proposals for the central Link light rail tunnel project, an updated revision of the agency's long-term financing plan, the proposed $500 million federal grant agreement and Sound Transit's proposed 2001 budget.

Participating in the announcement will be Sound Transit Board Chair Dave Earling, an Edmonds city councilmember; Sound Transit Board Vice Chair Greg Nickels, King County Councilmember, and other Sound Transit board members including King County Executive Ron Sims and Seattle Mayor Paul Schell.
