Sound Transit accelerates implementation of new and expanded ST Express bus services for Snohomish and Pierce counties

Publish Date
Body

Effective Sunday, May 28, Sound Transit is adding new limited-stop express bus service between Everett and Northgate, adding Sunday service to its existing Route 512 between Everett and downtown Seattle, and expanding weekday service and adding weekend service on Route 574 between Tacoma and Sea-Tac Airport. The expanded services were originally intended to be part of a significant expansion of ST Express bus services scheduled for September, but were accelerated to meet customer demand. Three additional new regional ST Express routes are scheduled to begin service in September.

The new ST Express Route 505/506 will provide peak-hour service on weekdays between Everett and the Northgate Transit Center. Stops will include California St. and Hoyt Ave. in Everett, the Eastmont Park and Ride, Everett Mall, Ash Way Park and Ride, Alderwood Mall, Lynnwood Park and Ride, I-5 & NE 145th St, and Northgate Transit Center.

Service will be expanded on the existing ST Express Route 512, the Everett-Lynnwood-Seattle Express, with the addition of new all-day service Sundays.

Service on ST Express Route 574 between Pierce County and SeaTac will offer more weekday service with added evening trips, and will add all-day service on Saturdays and Sundays.

Specific route and schedule information is available by picking up the new teal ST Express timetables, by visiting our website at www.stexpress.org, or by calling 1-888-889-6368. TDD/TTY users should call 1-888-713-6030.

Approved by voters in 1996, Sound Transit is implementing a network of regional transit services including ST Express bus service, Sounder commuter rail service which will run between Everett and Lakewood, and Link light rail service.
