Monday, April 21

6:30-8:30 p.m. People for Modern Transit Public Meeting: Regional Transportation Investment District and Link Light Rail updates

Seattle Central Community College

Attendees will receive updates on the Regional Transportation Investment District (RTID) from its vice chair, Dwight Pelz, a member of the King County Council and the Sound Transit Board. Sound Transit staff members will discuss long range plans for light rail

10 a.m.-1 p.m. ST Citizens' Accessibility Advisory Committee meeting

The Citizens' Accessibility Advisory Committee, which was established by Sound Transit to review plans and programs and advise the agency about accessibility issues, will hold its regular monthly meeting.

5-7 p.m. Women in Transportation Seminar-South Lake Union: A New Vision
College Club
505 Madison Avenue, Seattle

Sound Transit staff will attend this event focused on land use issues in the South Lake Union area to provide a presentation on options for extending the Central Link light rail system northward from downtown Seattle, including a possible Eastlake alignment.

Sound Transit staff will provide information on the Central Link light rail project in the Rainier Valley. Topics will include the project's construction schedule, real estate acquisition processes, the Rainier Valley Community Development Fund, a draft Business Marketing and Mitigation Plan, Sound Transit's Residential Sound Insulation Program and plans for underground placement of utilities.

Sound Transit will participate in this job fair that close to 100 employers throughout the Puget Sound region are expected to attend. Staff will provide information about Sound Transit's internship program and recruit potential candidates. The fair is open to all UW students and alumni.
