This University of Tacoma event will address the prosperity that railways have brought to the Northwest and commemorate the closure of a historic section of track in Tacoma. Kathy Albert, Sound Transit Community Relations Manager, will provide a short presentation on the Tacoma Link light rail system. Presenters will include David Nicandri, Washington State History Museum Director, and Michael Sullivan, UW Tacoma faculty member and historic preservation consultant. Refreshments served.
