Northline Sounder service cancelled due to mudslides

No Thursday evening or Friday train service; buses to Edmonds, Mukilteo, and Everett

Sounder riders to Edmonds, Mukilteo and Everett will need to take special and regular bus service from Seattle tonight and tomorrow for the morning and afternoon commutes after mudslides today closed northline tracks.

Sounder service from and to Everett will resume Monday if no other slides occur.

Bus alternatives

Special bus services to northline Sounder Stations will depart from downtown Seattle on the following schedule this afternoon:

  • To Edmonds: Special bus services will depart Fourth Avenue and Jackson Street at 4:05 p.m., 4:45 p.m. and 5:35 p.m. Riders can also take Community Transit Route 416.
  • To Mukilteo: Passengers can board special express charter buses at Fourth Avenue and Jackson Street at 4:05 p.m., 4:33 p.m., 5:05 p.m. and 5:35 p.m., or Community Transit Route 417 at the same location.
  • To Everett: Passengers can board special express charter buses at Fourth Avenue and Jackson Street at 4:33 p.m., 5:05 p.m., and 5:35 p.m., or take Sound Transit's regularly scheduled express Route 510 at the same location.

Northline riders can check online for Friday morning bus schedules, or call the toll-free service hotline at 1-888-889-6368.

Southline Sounder service in not affected and will operate on normal schedule.
