Body

The community’s help is needed as Sound Transit prepares a five-year regional special needs transportation coordination plan addressing projects to improve mobility for seniors, youth, people with disabilities and people living on low incomes.

As part of the process, Sound Transit will host a special Citizen Access televised community meeting at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9 on KMYQ-TV, Channel 22. Community members with transportation challenges have three ways to participate in providing comments that will help shape the regional plan:

  • In studio: 50 will be selected to participate in the studio in Seattle. Transportation will be provided, if needed. $50 stipend provided.

  • At home/live: 100 people will be selected to participate in the meeting from home by using the telephone. $25 stipend provided.

  • At home: Everyone will be able to provide comments throughout the week by a phone and internet survey.

Community members interested in participating in Citizen Access should contact Elway Research by e-mail at elway@elwayresearch.com or by phone at 1-877-675-1500, ext. 13.
