Saturday, September 6

10 a.m.-5 p.m. Kenmore Good Ol' Days - hybrid bus display
Kenmore City Hall
6700 N.E. 181st Street, Kenmore
Staff will display Sound Transit's new hybrid bus and provide information about the Regional Hybrid Bus Demonstration Project and Sound Transit services.

Saturday, September 6 and Sunday, September 7

Puyallup Fair Special ST Express service
There's no better way to "Do the Puyallup" - and get a coupon for $2 off fair admission - than by riding special ST Express bus service on Saturdays and Sundays, September 6-7, 13-14 and 20-21. ST Express Route 599 Seattle/Kent - Puyallup Fair will depart every hour from downtown Seattle and the Kent-Des Moines Park-and-Ride between 8:15 a.m. and 10:15 p.m. Return buses will depart every hour from the fair's Blue Gate between 9:40 a.m. and 10:40 p.m. ST Express Route 589 Auburn - Puyallup Fair will depart every 30 minutes from the Auburn Park-and-Ride between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m. Return buses depart from the fair's Blue Gate every half hour between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. (Please see www.soundtransit.org for detailed route and schedule information.)

Sunday, September 7

Special Sounder commuter rail service for Seahawks game
Starting this week as the Seahawks face New Orleans, fans can ride Sounder commuter rail to Seahawks home games on Sunday afternoons. For the September 7 game, Sounder trains will leave Tacoma at 10:45 a.m. and 11 a.m.; Puyallup at 10:57 a.m. and 11:12 a.m.; Sumner at 11:02 a.m. and 11:17 a.m.; Auburn at 11:10 a.m. and 11:25 a.m.; Kent at 11:17 a.m. and 11:32 a.m.; and Tukwila at 11:24 a.m. and 11:39 a.m. Trains arrive at King Street Station - right next to Seahawks Stadium - at 11:45 a.m. and noon. Return trains will depart King Street Station at 4:55 p.m. and 5:10 p.m. Due to railroad schedules, the trains must depart at those times even if the game goes into overtime. Special Tacoma Link service for Bank-to-Bay Run
People participating in the Bank-to-Bay Run in Downtown Tacoma can hop on Tacoma Link light rail, with special service every 20 minutes starting early at 7:20 a.m. Information on the Bank-to-Bay run is available at www.ontherun.com/banktobay.

Monday, September 8

Speakers including Pierce County Executive and Sound Transit Board Vice Chair John Ladenburg will discuss the Downtown Tacoma revitalization, regional transit investments, and current efforts to promote low-impact development methods for new construction. Sierra Club, Friends of Pierce County and Tahoma Audubon are co-sponsoring the event.

5-8 p.m. Open House-A community-defined vision of Totem Lake
Evergreen Healthcare, Galleria
12040 NE 128th Street, Kirkland
The City of Kirkland, Sound Transit, Evergreen Healthcare and King County Metro Transit will host an open house for the public to review plans for the implementation of an Urban Center at Totem Lake. The event will provide information on plans for Sound Transit and King County Metro Transit to locate a transit center on the Evergreen Healthcare Campus; Sound Transit to create an overpass crossing I-405 at N.E. 128th Street and new freeway access for transit and carpools; the City of Kirkland to create an intensive and compact Urban Center at Totem Lake; and campus development at Evergreen Healthcare.

Thursday, September 11
