Fare-free shuttle buses will operate for riders while state crews conduct bi-annual inspections of bridges over light rail tracks

Link light rail service will temporarily stop running between the SODO and Westlake stations Saturday, June 24 from 5 to approximately 11 a.m. to allow state Department of Transportation crews to inspect area bridges over light rail tracks.

During the service interruption, light rail riders will need to switch between trains and buses on the southbound platforms at Westlake and SODO stations to complete their journeys. Link riders will not be able to board and deboard on the northbound platforms at these stations during the disruption.

Fare-free Route 97 buses will serve all stations between SODO and Westlake every 10 to 15 minutes. Link riders continuing south from Westlake and north from SODO will need to deboard the train and catch the 97 bus. Bus 97 riders traveling north from Westlake and south from SODO will need to deboard the 97 bus and catch the train on the southbound platform.

Light rail trains will return to regular Saturday schedule at approximately 11 a.m.
