ELG identifies alternatives to advance into Level 2 analysis

On April 19th, the Elected Leadership Group chose alternatives to advance for further study in Level 2 of the Everett Link Extension alternatives development process. As part of this process, the Elected Leadership Group reviewed the Community Advisory Group’s recommendations for station, route and Operations and Maintenance Facility North alternatives as well as the technical analysis and public feedback. The Sound Transit System Expansion Committee was briefed on the ELG’s recommendations on May 12th.

Review the alternatives

Response to feedback

Community input in the Everett Link project area continues to be essential to the project’s success. In response to public feedback during early scoping and Sound Transit Board direction to look for cost-saving options, we are also reviewing new station, alignment and OMF North options along I-5 and SR 99/Evergreen Way. We are still in the early stages of evaluating these new alignments and will share more information as analysis continues.

Community Transit's proposed bus network changes

In 2024, new light rail stations are scheduled to open in Shoreline, Mountlake Terrace, and Lynnwood. One of our partner agencies, Community Transit, is redesigning their bus network to provide connections to light rail and improve bus service throughout Snohomish County. Learn more and provide your input by May 31.
