As early as Wednesday, May 31, Sound Transit will be closing the northbound I-5 on-ramp from NE 145th St., the northbound I-5 right lane from NE 145th St. to King County Metro off-ramp, and King County Metro on and off-ramps in this area. Crews will be landscaping as a part of the Lynnwood Link Extension.
What to know:
- Northbound I-5 on-ramp from NE 145th St., northbound I-5 right lane, and KCM on and off-ramp will be closed (see map). Emergency vehicle access to KCM on and off-ramps will be maintained.
- Crews will work at night to minimize traffic delays.
- Residents can expect construction noise from equipment being operated at night, such as a blower/hydroseed truck and a street sweeper.
- Most work will involve typical noise to adjacent neighbors not much louder than freeway noise.
- If the work is delayed, a new flyer will be provided to residents.
When:
- Northbound I-5 on-ramp from NE 145th St. and right lane closure:
- Wednesday, May 31, from 10:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.
- King County Metro off-ramp:
- Wednesday, May 31, and Thursday, June 1, from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following mornings.
- King County Metro on-ramp:
- Thursday, June 1, from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.

- Northbound I-5 on-ramp from NE 145th St.
- Northbound I-5 right lane closures from NE 145th St. to KCM off-ramp.
