Summary documents from our Draft EIS comment period available online now!

Sound Transit shared materials with the Board members today to support their selection of a preferred alternative site for the OMF South at the December 16 meeting. These documents are available for public review on the project website as well:

  • Draft Environmental Impact Statement Engagement Summary
    • A summary of the engagement Sound Transit conducted during the Draft EIS 45-day comment period from March 5 through April 19, 2021.
  • Draft EIS Comment Summary Report
    • A summary of all the comments Sound Transit received during the Draft EIS comment period from tribes, cities, agencies, social service organizations and community members. This summary includes an appendix with all the received letters, emails, voicemails, website comments and verbal comments given during our two virtual public hearings.
  • OMF South: Title VI Facility Equity Analysis
    • A technical report prepared to evaluate the facility location alternatives for OMF South in the context of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act.

Upcoming December 16 Board meeting to select a preferred alternative

On December 9, The Sound Transit Board’s System Expansion Committee will begin discussions around identifying a preferred alternative and will make a recommendation to the larger Board. On December 16, the Sound Transit Board will identify a preferred alternative for the OMF South site. A preferred alternative is not a final decision on which site will be built, but it will tell you which way the Board is leaning based off current information.

Community members are encouraged to attend Board meetings! To limit the spread of COVID-19, all Sound Transit Board meetings are being held virtually. The virtual meetings are being streamed live via WebEx.

The Board accepts virtual and written public comment on items on the meeting agendas. Individuals who would like to provide live public comment via phone or computer must sign up in advance. The sign-up form will be available on the day of the meeting between 8 a.m. and the posted start time of the meeting. To learn more about how to contact the Sound Transit Board or submit comments, click here.

Meetings will be recorded and posted online 24-48 hours after the meeting takes place.
