Sound Transit is committed to integrating art and artist thinking into the design and construction of transit facilities and public spaces by involving artists in the station design process. As partners in the development of over 40 miles of new light rail connections, the Sound Transit Art Program (STart) has identified many opportunities for artwork to enrich our system for our patrons and the communities surrounding our stations.
STart creates temporary installations at most construction sites and permanent art at stations and along routes.
