Construction starts this year – learn what to expect
Visit our online open house through Dec. 20 to view updated designs for the new Sumner Station parking garage and learn what to expect during construction.
Transit parking will be substantially reduced, and we’re encouraging passengers to use the new garage at Puyallup Station or the Bonney Lake Park-and-Ride, or to carpool, walk, or bicycle to the station. Expect noise, vibration, and changes to street patterns in the area during construction.

Sound Transit is updating the Strategic Plan for Sounder South, and we want to hear from you. Would Sounder trips at midday, in the evenings, or on weekends work better for you? Or does the current plan for longer trains, increasing rider capacity during peak periods, help more?
After collecting your feedback, along with research on travel patterns and ridership estimates, we’ll decide whether to prioritize negotiating new trips with BNSF Railway, which owns most of the tracks Sounder runs on.
Take our survey by Oct. 29 for a chance to win two tickets to the Nov. 12 Seahawks game!
Want to take Sounder to cheer on the Seahawks this fall? We’ve released our Sounder special event schedule for Seahawks games:
-
Oct. 22: Seahawks vs. Arizona Cardinals
-
Oct. 29: Seahawks vs. Cleveland Browns
-
Nov. 12: Seahawks vs. Washington Commanders
