On June 22, the Sound Transit Board identified a range of alternatives for stations, routes, and Operations and Maintenance Facility North locations to be studied in the Everett Link Extension Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).
This was the final step in the alternatives development phase of the project and we now move into environmental review, which will last for the next several years. We will equally evaluate these alternatives on a variety of topics in the Draft EIS, which we are planning to publish in early 2026, and there will be an opportunity for you to review and comment on that document.
The Sound Transit Board will then identify, reconfirm, or modify the preferred alternative(s) for the Final EIS. The Final EIS will address public, Tribe, and agency comments; include any necessary revisions to correct technical errors; and add any new information that has become available since the Draft EIS was published.
We have been listening! During the EIS scoping comment period between Jan. 23 and March 10, 2023, members of the public were invited to share their feedback about proposed alternatives for stations, routes, and Operations and Maintenance Facility sites.
That feedback has been documented and shared in the Scoping Outreach Summary and Scoping Summary Report, where you can learn what the project team heard from the public.
