The Everett Link Light Rail Expansion project is almost ready to start the environmental review process! Members of the public were invited to share their feedback about proposed alternatives for stations, routes, and operations and Operations and Maintenance Facility North locations from January 23 through March 10. A summary of what we heard as well as the verbatim comments can be found in the Scoping Summary Report. We shared this feedback with the project’s Community Advisory Group and Elected Leadership Group, who made their recommendations on alternatives to study in the Draft Environmental Impact Statement.
Next, Sound Transit will consider and decide on alternatives to study in the Draft EIS at two upcoming Board of Directors meetings. These meetings are open to the public, and you are welcome to attend and/or provide public comment.
The Elected Leadership Group met on April 25 to review public input and recommendations from the Community Advisory Group and decide on their recommendations for route, station, and Operations and Maintenance Facility North locations. You can review the outcomes from both groups in the recommendations summary and you can watch the full videos of the CAG and ELG meetings online.
The ELG is composed of Sound Transit Board members and elected officials who represent communities along the project corridor. The purpose of this group is to work through project issues and make recommendations on alternatives to advance for further study.
