Construction alert

Nighttime utility work on I-5 at NE 130th St.

Starting as early as Tuesday, Feb. 21, Sound Transit will be performing night utility work along I-5, near the NE 130th Street overpass. The work will happen at night due to I-5 lane restrictions.

What to know:

  • Residents can expect construction noise from equipment being operated at night.
  • Work activities should not be much louder than typical freeway noise.
  • If the work takes longer than expected or the work is delayed, additional road closures will be scheduled. A new flyer will be distributed.

When:

  • Tuesday, Feb. 21, through Thursday, Feb. 23, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following mornings.
    • Right lane closures on southbound I-5 at NE 130th St.
    • Left lane closures on northbound I-5 at NE 130th St.

Where:

  • I-5 at NE 130th St. overpass.
