Recap: West Seattle Link Extension station planning forum
Thank you to all who attended our West Seattle station planning forum on Oct. 25!
180 community members gathered at the Alki Masonic Center in West Seattle, where we discussed station design progress and gathered community feedback. The forum allowed Sound Transit and City of Seattle staff to gather community input about access, urban design, and transit-oriented development at West Seattle Link Extension station locations. The feedback will help us collaborate with the City of Seattle and other agency partners to advance the design of these station areas.
If you did not attend the in-person event, or you want to share more ideas, our online survey is available for you to take through Dec. 20. Meeting materials are also available online. Early next year, Sound Transit will share a summary of the feedback we gathered from both in-person and online engagement.
As a reminder, we will continue to study all the station locations analyzed in the Draft Environmental Impact Statement as part of the Final EIS, which is expected to be published in mid-2024. The Sound Transit Board will make the final decision on the project to be built after the Final EIS is published.
