Reminder! CID Community Info Session on Equity
Join tomorrow, Thursday, March 28, for the first in a new series of light rail information sessions in the Chinatown International District (CID)!
This first information session is for the CID and Pioneer Square communities to learn how equity analysis, engagement tools, and community feedback inform project development and decision milestones. We also want your input on racial equity outcomes to support this process.
Drop-in event information:
Cantonese, Mandarin, and Vietnamese interpretation and translated materials will be available. Refreshments will be provided.

Coming this April: South Lake Union Feasibility Study Findings
In December 2023, the Sound Transit Board instructed ST staff to conduct a feasibility study of a new concept and location for the South Lake Union (SLU) Station. This study assesses the feasibility of locating the SLU Station near 5th Avenue North and Harrison Street, roughly two blocks west of the current Preferred Alternative SLU Station. Staff will present the study findings to the public and the ST Board in early April. We will collect public feedback to inform possible Board action in May that will determine whether the Ballard Link Extension’s Draft Environmental Impact Statement will include this new concept and station alternative for study. There will be two public opportunities to participate in live webinars and an online survey to collect your feedback.
After receiving public input on the new SLU Station concept, the Sound Transit Board may take action at the May 23 Board meeting to decide if it should be added as an alternative in the upcoming Ballard Link Extension Draft Environmental Impact Statement.
