Sound Transit is planning a better-connected network so more people can walk, roll, bike, and take transit to South Tacoma Station and neighborhood destinations. Possible improvements include filling in missing sidewalks and curb ramps, adding bike lanes or paths, updating bus stops, and more.
Visit our online open house for updates on proposed improvements, including in-depth stories on the Adams Street and Pine Street connections. It also describes how we expect to prioritize between six Priority 2 proposals and includes a brief survey to gather your feedback.

In the spring of 2024, we expect the Sound Transit Board to select the "project to be built", which moves the project to the next phase. From there, Sound Transit and the City of Tacoma will confirm the final design and construction agreements. We expect to complete improvements by 2030.
